Marija is the owner and operator of the Whitehorse Travel Health Clinic. She has extensive knowledge and passion in the area of vaccine-preventable diseases.
Marija earned her nursing degree from McMaster University and her Master of Public Health degree from the University of Alberta. She holds a professional diploma in Travel Health Medicine from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Marija has over 11 years of public health nursing experience and has extensive knowledge in the area of immunization, travel health, and public health.
Her work experience includes managing the territorial Immunization program and she currently works for the Department of Defence, managing the national Immunization program for the Canadian Armed Forces.
Justine Fair is a family physician who has worked in Whitehorse for the past 9 years. She has completed medical school at the Cumming School of Medicine in Calgary, and completed family medicine residency in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia through Dalhousie Medical School.
She has received extra training in Travel and Tropical Medicine through a Global Health Fellowship from the Cumming School of Medicine, and holds a Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Justine also holds a Certificate in Travel Health (CTH) from the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM).
Experienced in providing education about vaccines, and administering vaccines to all age groups in a safe and comfortable environment. Your immunization record will be reviewed and vaccinations will be recommended based on your travel itinerary and outstanding routine vaccinations you are eligible for.
We provide pre-travel and vaccination consultations tailored specifically to every client. In addition, clients are informed of how they can reduce their risks while traveling and how to make healthy choices.
